Trego Hospital Endowment Foundation, Inc. recently held its anticipated Annual Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Banquet in honor of all their Volunteers and supporting Auxiliary, Donors, Supporters, and Board Members. The event was well attended and very much enjoyed by all. The VFW Auxiliary ladies catered a German Meal that was wonderful. Each guest and volunteer received a special little gift, while some guest were able to take home the table centerpieces as their door prizes. Award certificate were handed out for recognition of achievements. Those that achieved certain threshold levels of hours were further recognized with a beautiful year and/or hours pin.
Each year at this event, Donors, Supporters, Volunteers and Auxiliary are honored because of their outstanding contributions of service to the hospital, health care, and Trego County. This year, we are humbled with all that have contributed, and are extremely deserving individuals who have gone above and beyond in their dedication to serving the Trego Hospital Endowment Foundation’s mission. Many volunteers work shifts each week, or during the month in TCLMH Auxiliary’s popular Gift Shop, offering great customer service and excellent product marketing.
The entertainment this year was none other than the grandchildren of two of the Trego Hospital Endowment Foundation’s board members. Brenna Flax performed solos. Brenna Flax is the granddaughter of Leroy and Janice Flax. Nathaniel Hunt, an FHSU student performed several Jazz numbers. Nathaniel Hunt is the grandson of Myron and Edna Mae Deines. What a true gift of talent and time that was offered to the attendees.
An absolutely wonderful “German” meal was prepared by WaKeeney VFW Auxiliary. We had so many popular German dishes, and the CYO youth served the event. Now, that too, was a truly nice bunch of young individuals. A full circle of “Caring, and Sharing thru Giving”. A big Thank You to all who participated, help, and attended. You are appreciated.
